Di balik cermin mimpi

Eiffel Tower, Paris - November 2011

Kami belajar mentafsir mimpi hari ini. Mulanya aku agak reluctant mahu bercerita, tetapi bila hampir semua yang ada bercerita, haruslah aku mahu join the wagon, kan?

Ceritaku:
Saya perasan saya gayat. Sedang saya membetulkan bearing saya, saya ditolak ke bawah. Saya terjaga kerana sensation jatuh itu.

Aku menjangkakan begini tafsirannya:

Paka, Terengganu : 19:14, Oct 2, 2011

Allah itu terlalu dekat dengan kita. Allah itu di mana-mana.

Maka, nikmat Allah yang manakah yang kamu dustakan?

Knowledge and Skills

A giant ship engine failed. The ship’s owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine. Then, they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a young. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immedietly went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of ship’s owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed!

A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for 10,000 dollars.

“What?!” the owners exclaimed.

“He hardly did anything!”

So they wrote the old man a note saying, “Please send us an itemized bill.”

The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer           $2.00
Knowing where to tap              $9998.00

Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort makes all the difference!

In denial ...

Sekian lama mata kecil ini memberikan khidmat, tanda-tanda wear and tear tu semakin ketara. Namun, aku sering dalam penafian.

"Mata saya masih OK!"
"Mata saya masih nampak .."
"Nothing wrong with my eye-sight ..."

Selamat berpuasa!.

Lesson to Learn: Japan Tsunami 2011

After suffering three major disasters, here 10 things we can learn from the amazing Japanese ...

THE CALM
Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated.

THE DIGNITY
Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture.

THE ABILITY
The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didn’t fall.

THE GRACE
People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something.

THE ORDER
No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding.

THE SACRIFICE
Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid?

THE TENDERNESS
Restaurants cut prices. An unguarded ATM is left alone. The strong cared for the weak.

THE TRAINING
The old and the children, everyone knew exactly what to do. And they did just that.

THE MEDIA
They showed magnificent restraint in the bulletins. No silly reporters. Only calm reportage.

THE CONSCIENCE
When the power went off in a store, people put things back on the shelves and left quietly

Amazing people!

Point to Ponder

Seen on FB:

A British man came to Sheikh and asked:
Why is not permissible in Islam for women to shake hands with a man?

The Sheikh said:
Can you shake hands with Queen Elizabeth?

British man said:
Of course not, there are only certain people who can shake hands with Queen Elizabeth.

Sheikh replied:
Our women are queens and queens do not shake hands with strange men ...

Love it!

Good Manner [haha!]

This anecdots were emailed to me by a friend. Hillarious!

During one of her classes, a teacher trying to teach good manners asked her students the following question:

'Kaizad, if you were on a date having dinner with a nice young lady, how would you tell her that you have to go to the bathroom?'

Kaizad said, 'Just a minute I have to go pee.'

The teacher responded by saying, 'that would be rude and impolite. What about you Sarosh, how would you say it?'
Sarosh said, 'I am sorry, but I really need to go to the bathroom. I'll be right back.'

'That's better, but it's still not very nice to say the word bathroom at the dinner table. And you, Rohinton, can you use your brains for once, and show us any good manners that you may have?'

Rohinton:'I would say: Darling, please may I be excused for a moment? I have to shake hands with a very close friend of mine from down under, whom I hope to introduce to you, after dinner.'

Teacher promptly fainted.

Kids ... ahhhh

Ho chak!

Oh burger .... bukan rezekiku nampaknya ....

Dengan penuh keterujaan sebab ada tempat halal nak makan, kami pun join the line of customers. Ala-ala kopitiam design di dalamnya.

Sampai ke turn aku, aku mintak mee siam. Nampak menyelerakan. Minuman? Biasalah .. iced lemon tea.

Mee Siam - mihun goreng berkuah taucu. Masam manis rasanya. Sedap!

I don't think you should have this nasi lemak m'am because we fry the chickens together with porks. You may try something else."
Hah! Bluwekkkk ... macam mana adik tadi tu cakap halal dan dia selalu makan? Arghhh ...

Akhirnya laksa with seafood curry gravy dan Milo Dinasour menjadi pilihannya.

Apa lagi, order lah! Tapi, rasanya tidaklah sesedap namanya. Tak menyesal pun tapinya ...

Sambil makan sambil berbual.

Aku tiba-tiba terfikir,
"Eh you ... what if sayur-sayur ni, telur ni dia potong dengan pisau yang dia guna untuk potong benda tu?"

Kak SitiM punya reaksi,
"Shut up stupid! Finish your food."

Hehehehehhe ...
